The Engadine Gander House, listed and protected as a historic monument – lodges up to 6 persons – at Stuls/Stugl above Bergün.

If you are looking for nature, peace and seclusion, you will find it in the hamlet of Stuls (Stugl is its Romansch name) at 1,551 m / 5,088 ft above sea level, with an unobstructed view of the Albula Valley, right in the middle of Parc Ela, Switzerland’s largest nature reserve.

You enter the house via the imposing Sulèr – to the left of which is the spacious vaulted kitchen with all the necessary appliances, including a dishwasher, crockery etc. and a large dining table with a corner bench and a wood-burning stove.

Also to the left of the Sulèr is the richly panelled Arvenstube room in Swiss stone pine wood with a brick oven, TV, etc. A small staircase behind the stove leads to the panelled chombra (bedroom) with an anteroom.

From the Sulèr, the stairs lead to the upper floor.

Here you will find a spacious bedroom with 2 single beds and a washbasin with hot and cold water, the original panelled bedroom with 2 single beds, and the aforementioned chombra with a double bed and an anteroom. Also located on the upper floor are the bathroom with toilet, washbasin and shower, a separate toilet and a sink. A large, sunlight-drenched garden seating area with a lawn invites you to bask in the sun. There are parking spaces in front of the house.
