We warmly welcome you to our holiday home "Sonnwies" in Reit im Winkl, the sunny plateau in the Bavarian Alps. Guaranteed snow, no fog and countless hours of sunshine characterise our village. Our house "Sonnwies" is situated in a very quiet location on the outskirts of Reit im Winkl. The village centre is only a 5-minute walk away, and restaurants and shops can be reached quickly without a car. The 5 holiday flats for up to 4 people are freshly renovated and invite you with rural elegance to sunny, relaxed holiday pleasure. All flats have a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, bathroom/WC with hairdryer and fully equipped kitchens (some with oven and dishwasher). From all balconies you can enjoy the breathtaking mountain panorama and the sun in peace and comfort. For your wellness and "time out" there is a spacious Finnish sauna, as well as a Physiotherm infrared cabin with relaxation room ready for you. (For a fee) Towels and cosy bathrobes are of course also provided. Nature lovers and "outdoor freaks" will get their money's worth here. The entrance to the hiking and cross-country skiing network starts right outside the front door. Cyclists and mountain bikers, mountaineers, climbers and joggers will find an ideal starting point here.  Your advantage as our guest: We are partner landlords/operators of the Reit im Winkl swimming card. This gives you the opportunity to receive further free services in addition to our own, such as free entry to the Reit im Winkl open-air swimming pool, the Kössen forest swimming pool and the lido pools at Walchsee. Furthermore, we are a partner rental company/operator of the Benz- Eck ski lifts. This gives you the opportunity to receive further free services in addition to our own, such as free travel on the Benzeck lifts in winter. (€ 1.00 contribution towards costs) Tennis players use the courts and hall at Harry's Tennis Camp free of charge.

Reit im Winkl climatic health resort

According to Wikipedia, the title "climatic health resort" is awarded to "places whose air and climate, according to an expert opinion, have properties that are conducive to recreation and health. Reit im Winkl was designated a climatic health resort in 1956 and since then has repeatedly met the requirements for the certificate by making efforts. For one thing, the altitude ensures that the summer heat remains moderate and the nights pleasantly cool. The village is surrounded by extensive mountain forests of the Chiemgau Alps and belongs to the "Bavarian Alps" climate district. The weather character is decisively determined by the conditions, i.e. by the influence of the mountain ranges and the valley incisions on the weather pattern. In addition to the natural conditions for good air, we actively take care with the natural warmth or ample bus offers that the good mountain air is preserved for us.
